For the second year in a row, children from two Timken Belts families have been awarded scholarships through the Timken Global Scholars program.
For over 60 years, Timken has been awarding scholarships to the children of associates. This year, 17 exceptional winners from around the world were granted over $540,000 to use toward their studies. Winners included Jeanna Hill and Hannah Shupert from Timken Belts in Fort Scott, Kansas and Springfield, Missouri.
Jeanna Hill, daughter of Charles Hill, raw edge cure associate at Timken Belts in Fort Scott, was presented with the $25,000 Jack Timken Scholar Award. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years for a total of $100,000. Jeanna will pursue mathematics and sociology at the University of Kansas.
Hannah Shupert, is the daughter of Jerry Shupert, a build/skive associate in Springfield. Hannah was presented with a $10,000 scholarship that is renewable for three additional years for a total value of $40,000. Hannah has been accepted to the Honors College at the University of Missouri – Columbia where she will study linguistics and political science.

The Timken Global Scholars Program offers children of associates worldwide the opportunity to pursue their chosen field of study at any accredited university or college, domestic or abroad. Since 1958, The Timken Company Charitable and Educational Fund has invested more than $22 million in the program enabling more than 650 children of associates worldwide to have much of their college expenses compensated.
